Domaine Jean-Paul Balland Sancerre

A Sancerre from Domaine Jean-Paul Balland in France's Loire Valley, 100% Sauvignon Blanc grown in the Bué commune on a mix of limestone, clay, and pebbly soils the French call terres blanches and caillotes. The Balland family has farmed this land for generations, and today daughters Isabelle and Elise run the domaine, Isabelle in the cellar and Elise on the business side.

Classic Sancerre character throughout: grapefruit, green apple, and white flowers on the nose, with crushed chalk and a bone dry, high acid finish. A natural match for oysters, goat cheese, or anything simply grilled.
